In combination with lifelines, anchor points are devices that complete the entire safety system, useful for preventing the pendulum effect in the event of a fall and for securing perimeter and secondary areas.

For proper operation, they must be anchored to a load-bearing structure strong enough to withstand the stresses resulting from a fall, and must be designed exclusively for use with personal fall protection equipment (PPE). Depending on their use and positioning, they can be considered:

  • Secondary anchor points of the fall arrest system, to create a safe path towards the lifeline (main element) or to work in limited areas where it is not possible to use a lifeline;
  • Main anchor points for safe operation in confined areas at risk of falling.
